Description

When you will hike the Short Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, you will see impressive Inca ruins, expansive mountain views, lush subtropical vegetation and extraordinary ecological varieties. The Ancient Inca Road goes through the National Park and takes you through the Sun Gate with unforgettable views of Machu Picchu! We will pass through cloud forests and finally into subtropical vegetation. People hiking the short Inca Trail Trek will have the privilege of seeing the famous Machu Picchu Citadel in the afternoon on the first day and also visiting it the next morning! This trek was designed for those with little travel time who would like to experience a part of the Historic Inca Trail and walk to the New 7 Wonder of the World: Machu Picchu!

DAY 1

Cusco - Wiñaywayna - Aguas Calientes.

Pick up at the hotel 5:30 a.m. to take you by bus to Ollantaytambo (1 hour and a half), from here we will take the train to Km. 104, from here we will begin to walk uphill to the archaeological center of Wiñaywayna

DAY 2

Aguas Calientes - Machupicchu - Cusco.

Breakfast at the hotel, very early we take the bus to get to the archaeological center of Machupicchu, we will have a 2-hour guided tour around the most outstanding places of the Inca citadel of Machupicchu

DAY 1
Cusco - Wiñaywayna - Aguas Calientes.

Pick up at the hotel 5:30 a.m. to take you by bus to Ollantaytambo (1 hour and a half), from here we will take the train to Km. 104, from here we will begin to walk uphill to the archaeological center of Wiñaywayna (Quechua word that means forever young), guided tour in Wiñaywayna and then we continue walking to Inti Punku where we will have the first view of Mahupicchu, then we will descend to Aguas Calientes (Machupicchu Town) where they will spend the night in a lodging, dinner and overnight.

DAY 2
Aguas Calientes - Machupicchu - Cusco.

Breakfast at the hotel, very early we take the bus to get to the archaeological center of Machupicchu, we will have a 2-hour guided tour around the most outstanding places of the Inca citadel of Machupicchu, then they will have free time, where they can visit on their own and take pictures around the magical citadel, in the afternoon we return to the town where they will have free time for lunch, in the afternoon we will take our train to return to Ollantaytambo, there we will pick you up and bring you by bus to Cusco (10:30 pm ).

What’s Included

Briefing:

  • Prior to departure you will have a meeting with your guide in our office to go over all the details regarding your tour. The orientation will be at 6:00 pm the night before your trip.

Experience Of Our Guides:

  • All of our guides have a minimum of 3 years of guiding experience. They are professional, responsible, and all have a deep love and respect for mother nature and her mountains. They will make sure your trip is safe and enjoyable.

Transportation:

  • Transfer from the airport to your hotel (private service)
  • Our private transport vehicles will come pick you up at your hotel the morning of your trip and take you to your trek starting point. You will also return in our vehicles to Cusco at the end of the trek.
  • Cusco transfer to Km 82
  • Train ticket from Ollantaytambo to Km. 104
  • Transport from Ollantaytambo to Cusco

Permits:

  • When we receive your data and permits, we will buy your permits (depending on availability, ask us about our Inca trail availability). These permissions are for a specific date and in your name, they cannot be changed once confirmed. The update of the passport number is allowed, this permit includes the entrance to Machu Picchu.

First Aid:

  • All of our guides are certified in high mountain first aid training. They always carry a first aid kit on our treks (including pills for altitude sickness, diarrhea, vomiting, cuts, and cream for muscle aches). They also carry extra oxygen in cases of emergency.
